Mediderma was founded 25 years ago by a group of Dermatologists led by Dr Gabriel Serrano, who also founded Sesderma Laboratories, one of the most renowned international skin care laboratories dedicated to developing high-quality quality, effective and safe skincare products and present in more than 60 countries.

From the very beginning, 35 years ago, Dr Gabriel Serrano has been involved in developing fine skincare products, new skincare treatments and protocols to achieve healthy skin.

Dr Serrano is an internationally renowned authority in the field of cosmetic dermatology. He is a dermatologist practising in Valencia, Spain as well as a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, European Academy of Dermatology, Spanish Academy of Dermatology, Ibero-Latin-American College of Dermatology (CILAD) and other scientific societies. His thinking is highly sought after by the skincare industry. He holds several patents in anti-ageing skincare, chemical peels and sun damage repair and regularly lectures on shaping trends in skincare and the development of novel and cutting-edge anti-aging skincare.

Dr Serrano continues to do active clinical research in nanotechnology applied to dermatology, and Sesderma laboratories have several lines where the active ingredients are encapsulated in nanoliposomes. He is the author of more than 150 medical publications in prestigious peer-reviewed dermatology journals as well as a regularly invited speaker at international conferences on cosmetic dermatology, chemical peels, skin repair, skin aging, skin cancer and advancements in skincare.

Mediderma was the first company to introduce a complete line of chemical peels (GlicoPeel, MelasPeel) into the medical and professional market almost three decades ago. Nowadays Mediderma products are recognised as very effective and indicated for nearly every skin type, gender, age or problem. The efficacy of Mediderma products and peel treatment protocols are supported by extensive clinical trials and the company’s collaboration with industry-leading practitioners from around the globe.
